Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Flightform ("Flightform," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our powerlifting meet management platform (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and password credentials (passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never stored by us in plain text).
  • Lifter and competitor profile information. To register for and compete in meets, you may provide information such as your date of birth, gender, declared weight class, division, equipment category, federation membership ID, and your state or region of residence.
  • Meet and competition data. When you participate in or manage a meet, we process information such as registrations, attempts, lift results, judging assignments, and scoring.
  • Usage and device information. We may automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and how you interact with the Service, including through cookies and similar technologies used to keep you signed in and operate the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account and authenticate you;
  • Operate meet registration, scoring, judging, and results functionality;
  • Display competitor and results information to meet organizers, officials, and spectators as part of the Service;
  • Maintain, secure, and improve the Service;
  • Communicate with you about your account, meets, or the Service; and
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. How We Share Information

Powerlifting competition is inherently public. Information such as your name, division, weight class, attempts, and results may be visible to meet organizers, officials, other competitors, and spectators, including on public results and livestream displays. Apart from this, we do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Service providers. We use third-party infrastructure providers, including Google Firebase and Google Cloud, to host data, authenticate users, and operate the Service. These providers process information on our behalf subject to their own terms and security practices.
  • Meet organizers. If you register for a meet, the organizers of that meet can access the registration and competition information you provide for it.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Flightform, our users, or others.

4. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Competition results may be retained as part of a meet's permanent record. We may also retain information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

5. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Choices and Rights

You may review and update your profile information through your account settings. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the address below. Please note that some information, such as historical competition results, may need to be retained as part of a meet's record.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Competitors who are minors should use the Service only with the involvement of a parent, guardian, or coach. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without appropriate consent, please contact us.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective" date above. Your continued use of the Service after any change indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
